Outdoor Fun & Play

Hi Buggy!  We did SO much together today!  Not only did you go to the Cubbie Hole first thing in the morning, but we also made up our own downhill ski game, made and colored binoculars to go looking for a lost neighborhood puppy, and made our own cat toy out of yarn and a spool to play with our outdoor kitty, Tiger.

By far your favorite game was the downhill ski game!  You played it for hours this afternoon!  We used a breakfast tray and a couple of dollars worth of pennies. And then we started rolling the pennies! Sometimes we said "Nice jump!", "perfect 10!", or "right down the middle!" which you loved, but you laughed so hard every time that I said, "crash!"  Our ski game was a BIG hit!

We did all of this in our outdoor tent that your daddy put up in our backyard for us

It is where we have been hanging out and playing games and reading books all month long!

The weather has been so beautiful...we are really spoiled here in California

So, we have been spending a lot of time in our little backyard tent!

This afternoon we found this flyer sitting on our front porch.  Your daddy and I thought it would be nice if we went looking for the little lost puppy with you. So, you made the cutest little pair of binoculars out of two toilet paper rolls, some markers and some tape. You colored the binoculars and tried them out. They worked!  So we took them out for a spin!  Before we left, we prayed together that God would help to keep the little lost puppy safe.

For the rest of the day we unwound some thread and tied a piece of rainbow colored yarn around it. You spent the entire evening on our front lawn playing with Tiger and trying to get her to play with the yarn.  More pictures to come!

All our love to you, always and forever,
Mommy & Daddy

Update: We ran into Zeppelin's daddy on one of our neighborhood walks.  We were SO happy to learn that Zeppelin was found, safe and sound!  He was missing for one week, was hungry, thirsty and tired.  He crossed town and made his way to Red Lobster, where somebody rescued him and took him to the Petco. They scanned his chip and he was returned home.  What a lucky little puppy!  You were so happy to play with him!  His daddy gave you Zeppelin's ball to bring home with you to play with Sydney. We are so happy that Zeppelin is home!
